Catching The Wave: Tongues & Interpretation - A Gift in Unity
Our Commission - Part 11: Catching The Wave (https://youtu.be/1yVFJ8xLRwQ)
Just as a surfer is focused on catching the wave and riding it with purpose, Christians are called to pursue God’s mission with purpose: sharing the Gospel, serving others, and bringing the love of Jesus to the world. Pastor Bill continues our study of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, teaching that these gifts are given by God to empower believers to minister to and edify others. We are encouraged to ask Jesus to baptize us with the Holy Spirit and to ask God to manifest spiritual gifts through our lives as He desires. In this message, we take a closer look at the gift of interpretation of tongues—one of the spiritual gifts that is often misunderstood. Pastor Bill explains the biblical distinction between translation and interpretation, why interpretation is important when tongues are spoken in a church gathering, and how tongues and interpretation work together in unity.
